The Challenge
Gobelets.com, the French leader in personalized cup sales, wanted to radically stand out from the competition by offering a unique and innovative shopping experience. The existing customization process was linear, unintuitive and didn't allow customers to visualize the final result of their order.
The technical challenge was considerable: creating a high-performance 3D configurator, accessible on all devices (including mobile), capable of handling hundreds of color, texture, logo and text combinations while maintaining realistic and smooth rendering.
The experience had to be intuitive enough for any user to create their customization in a few clicks, without any prior technical knowledge.
The Solution
We developed a complete 3D configurator combining Three.js for real-time 3D rendering and Vue.js 3 for the user interface, fully integrated with the existing e-commerce system.

Optimized Three.js rendering engine displaying the customized cup in 3D with rotation, zoom and realistic lighting at 60 FPS on all devices.
Multi-layer customization
Advanced customization system allowing combination of colors, textures, logos, text and special effects with instant preview.

Deep optimization to ensure a smooth mobile experience with progressive texture loading and adaptive LOD.

Seamless connection with the shopping cart, automatic production file generation and dynamic price calculation.
