Thousands of product pages with no manual entry

The client

A catalogue outpacing its content production

Gobelets.com sells customisable products across many variants. Every variant needs a visual and a description; multiplied across the catalogue, that requirement becomes a full-time job.

The bottleneck was editorial, not commercial. Publishing a product required a mockup and copy, and that single step set the pace at which the catalogue could grow.

The challenge

Industrialising without flattening

Automating visual production is easy as long as you accept a generic result. The hard part is producing mockups faithful to the real product — material, shape, print area — from a template and a customer visual.

On the copy side, a generated description has to stay specific and useful for search. Text that reads fine but could describe any product serves neither the customer nor the page ranking.

The solution

A generation chain wired into Shopify

We built an application that takes a product as input and produces a complete listing — visuals and copy — then publishes it to Shopify through the Admin API.

01

Automated mockup generation

From product templates, the chain composes visuals for every variant while respecting print areas and material rendering. What used to be retouching work becomes an automated step.

02

AI-written product descriptions

Descriptions are written from the product’s real attributes rather than a generic template, so they stay specific and useful for organic search.

03

Direct Shopify injection

Visuals and copy are pushed into the store through the Shopify API. No manual handover between generation and publication.

04

Batch processing

The chain runs on a queue, so an entire catalogue can be processed without blocking the store or exhausting API quotas.

The outcome

The catalogue is no longer capped by publishing effort

Producing a complete product page no longer depends on manual mockup and copywriting work. Growing the catalogue is a commercial decision again rather than a production constraint.
